Since winning the world tango championship in the category of tango de pista (social dancing) in 2010, Sebastian they have been one of the most sought-after couples in the world of tango. After sold-out workshops in DC in 2014 and 2015, he is coming to DC again, this time with his new partner Joana Gomes.

Biography
Sebastián Jimenez
Sebastian Jimenez began his dance training at the age of 4 with Folklore Argentino. At age 10, he discovered the Tango and clung definitely. From 14 years was associated with one of the best living exponent in tango (Carlos Perez and Rosa Forte). He began working as a couple with Maria Ines Bogado at the end of 2007, performing in the most traditional milongas. In 2008, he began to prepare for the competition “Metropolitan Championship” and became the Metropolitan champions of 2010 in the vals category. Having turned 18 and with this result, he was encouraged to participate in the Mundial de Tango (world tango championship), where he became the World Champions of Tango Salon 2010 and the youngest champion ever.
Joana Gomes
Joana Gomes, Sebastián’s partner, has a PhD in interactive art and has always been involved in the creation of interactive graphics and interactive dance shows. She learned to dance with the most renowned teachers of Buenos Aires where she goes twice a year.
